The first four matches were held in March 2020 at the Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai before the pandemic forced a suspension. The remaining matches were completed in March 2021 in Raipur with the addition of two new teams, England and Bangladesh. Australia bowed out due to the pandemic, so it eventually became a Six-Team affair.

The Chhattisgarh Government played a key role in ushering the tournament at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur. The attendance was reduced to 50 per cent and all games were conducted with strict COVID protocols in place for all players, officials and even the spectators at the stadium.

The Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends clinched the Title with a Thrilling Victory over Sri Lankan Legends in the finals. The Sri Lankan Legends Captain Tillakaratne Dilshan emerged as star of the tournament with an all-round display.
